My Favorite Illustration

For too many years to count I have had a Mary Engelbreit greeting card framed and displayed in my kitchen.  When we moved into this house it was placed upon the ledge

 above a frequently used door.

So when I walked into a thrift store this week and saw this

mini poster sized framed print of my favorite illustration

I knew for sure it was coming home with me.

Imagine my joy when I saw the price – $1.99

Even better- it was 25% off!

Now it is making me smile in the living room.

Linking up with DebbieDoos Garage salen party and Laurie’s Favorite Things Saturday.  To see more Mary Engelbreit treasures, or join in and share yours, visit Vicki Monday at M.E. Monday.

If Sophie has not decided to run away and join another stage show,  she’ll be back with Flea Market Finds on Sunday.

Since hiking is somewhat seasonal for me, I am linking to Seasonal Sundays (formerly Summer Sundays) at The Tablescaper.

  2. How excited you must have been when you first saw the framed poster. Probably even a little “Happy Dance”…lol??? “To the ends of the earth” has always been one of my favorite Mary illustrations.
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting on Christopher’s birthday pics. If you can believe it I had a Facebook page before he did..lol. He asks me to help him when needed so it’s probably easier to have me as a “friend” there. What he probably doesn’t know is that you can leave out specific “friends” when you want to post something you might not want your mom to see. We won’t tell him that though. Yes…I do love cherries..almost as much as ME’s artwork. Have a wonderful weekend.

    • I did not know that Fb trick either. Maybe you have to give a tutorial.

    • Hi,
Just stopped by to see your blog – I should have come over a long time ago -sorry! You entered my giveaway and said you didn’t know how to get my button up on your page – I should have come over and told you – I just fell behind on some things and unfortunately responses to comments were one of the things I fell behind on. As I was so slothful I am giving you an extra entry in the giveaway because you wanted to put my button up. Tonight at midnight, well honestly when I get up tomorrow morning cause at midnight I am inspecting the inside of my eyelids LOL I will do the random number thing and post who the winner is so don’t forget to check my blog tomorrow around 10:00 a.m. eastern time.
      Good Luck!
      Hugs,
      Beth
P.S. your blog is looking quite nice!

  18. I love the picture and Mary Engelbreit always brings a smile. How great that is was onjly $1.50. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and commenting on my Cuter with Pewter post. I’m getting ready to restyle my entire living room…a much larger project! Papermaking is easy but STILL pretty time consuming.
