I admit it. I am usually a 99 cents or under girl.
It does not take hundreds or thousands of dollars to make me happy.
I will go higher for clothing (maybe $1.99) or for quality things that are handmade,
but this girl can stretch a five dollar bill.
So when I walked out of the thrift store having spent a shade over $6.00
and didn’t need help loading my van, you know I must have
A) been in a shopping mood
B) really needed an item
C) found something I considered treasure
Half off Christmas merchandise
I bought this with the intention of giving it as a gift but I do collect snow charactors.
One can never have enough desk top organization
and you all have seen my desk.
I have dreams that these drawers will help me finish some beautiful artworks…
plus the teenager behind the counter gave me a senior discount.
Who am I to correct her?
Anything marked Brookstone is worth more than $3.
Back before the internet things from the Brookstone catalog were cool.
At the moment I still do not have a laptop or notebook computer and even am not running the desktop wireless. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and get the accessories first.
Like buying a bowl and leash in anticipation of getting your first dog for your birthday.
(I received my first dog during a tornado.)
Keeping with a theme of wintery white and gingerbread…
The gingerbread couple are handmade from a large juried craft show. Peanuts mug 49 cents.
Don’t they make you smile too?
Even though I am not officially decorating this year touches of the season are finding their way to my decor.
Alarming note: overheard at my local thrift shop. The manager told staff not to put mugs out unless in sets of 4 or more. All others are just to be broken.
You know I had to speak my opinion on that!
And I want to send a HUGE Thank You
to a new friend (Patty) from a recent blog hop and giveaway day.
Patty has two shops on Etsy that I am proud to have added to my favorites.
Please join in with Junkin’ Finds Friday at A la Carte today and next week when Linda is having a favorite find of 2010 party.
