A Gift of Love

I apologize for not being around much. I have missed you all terribly. I have no excuse other than LIFE and daily obligations and never enough time.  (Not to say you are not a priority in my life.)

Today’s post will be short and sweet with promises of something new and interesting to come,  as long as the predicted  snow is kind enough to leave the power flowing.

Some of my best thrift shopping takes place while standing in line to check out.

I had a cart full of wonderful things (all for under $20 I may add) but the cashier was busy answering the phone while she helped me, and retrieving DVDs and CDs from under the counter for other people. I was not in a hurry but my eyes continued to scan while I was patiently waiting.

Just before the last item was checked out, the phone rang again and a new cart of merchandise came out from the back room. So while the cashier answered the phone I dashed back to the cart and picked up a beautiful Mary Engelbreit book.

While it is a Christmas collection  the beautiful print above is a timeless and seasonless tribute to LOVE.

Speaking of Love, Holiday Haven is having a Valentine’s Day party from now through the 14th.

I am linking up today with The Penny Worthy Project
and with Apron Thrift Girl’s Thrift Share Monday

also (of course) Vicki the Cherry Chick’s Mary Engelbreit Monday
and Vicki is also part of the One World One Heart Tour.    Travel the World!

And we are joining several HUNDRED wonderful blogs at Making the World Cuter.

  1. Thanks so much for sharing with us on ME Monday. What’s the front of the book look like? I don’t know that I have seen this book from Mary.
To answer your question about Linky tools, yes, he will be charging even if it’s not a thumbnail post. I haven’t made up my mind yet as to what I will do.
I hope the snow falls lightly on your front lawn and that you have plenty of heat to bring you warmth in your home…take care.

    • The dust jacket is missing and it is the EDGES of the pages that attracted me to it. I will share in a post soon.
