Things I need to Share

As you can tell by my lack of posting recently winter is not having a stimulating effect on my life.

Because I am having difficulty taking time to write about my own life I want to share with you some fascinating things I have found while visiting others online.

Just this past weekend I was hopping around some farm blogs, beginning with Verde Farms and Farm Friend Friday.  My attention wanders off track whenever I attend a blog hop or party. After I read the featured post my eye is drawn to the sidebar. While I can skip most of the ads, I tend to read the names of other blogs that the blogger I have visited  enjoys. From one of those blogs I was directed to Judy at Judy’s Front Porch. In particular I want to share with you her post on milk production in Kenya.  I give you permission right now to stop reading me and go visit Judy.

Getting back to Verde Farms, Amy wrote an inspiring post about Muscovy Ducks who actually are not ducks at all!

Another farm friend posted a loving dog story  On  Hollyhock Farm about the real Heaven.

For my artistic friends, check out the wonderful seed packets shown by Chris at Red Gate Farm.  And another seed story comes from Pondside where her husband was disappointed she did not come home from the swap with new music.

Now I am excited to tell you that I have discovered a new thrifting link up party.  Magpie Monday  is hosted “across the pond” from me in England.
I enjoy hearing about thrift shopping and Op Shopping all over the world.
Visit  Me and My Shadow.

I hope these give you some new insight and inspiration.

And for a humongous dose of artistic and creative inspiration you still have time to visit many of the 210 artists demonstrating their talent for the Bead Soup party.

I will be back and post pictures of things I found when I finally left the farm this weekend.
I am off to take some pictures.

Thanks to Grammy Mouse Tails   for a new graphic classing up my blog.

  1. I find winter blogging a challenge too. How many times can you write, “Too cold to go out today, sat home again”?

Finding inspiration elsewhere can help, but sometimes when you spend too much time on other people’s blog, you lose track of your own focus. Or you start writing stuff you think will please an audience, instead of what’s on your mind and your heart. Or you just blog hop around leaving comments instead of working on a post of your own! 🙂

Good luck combatting the winter blahs! And remember, spring is only 21 days away!

  2. Hang in there, winter’s almost over! I just said to my co-worker as I left for lunch “we’re half way through the last day of February-Woo Hoo!”:@)

  4. This is sooooo true – winter is cold. Best to hibernate. End of post. Yep, it’s not exactly a time of inspiration. We have started doing exactly what you did – looking out there in blogland for some inspiration and it certainly does indeed help! Hey it can’t hurt and besides, you know you’ll be warm 😉 Bad habit of “hers” certainly not mine 😉 is looking at the links and favorite blogs of others…sometimes “she” gets lost and can’t remember where exactly “she” started. Of course it helps that I keep “her” on a tight lease and just yank “her” back home when it’s time for snacks 😉

No matter how long the winter, spring always follows.

    • Romeo, I have missed you.
Indeed the 4 leggers here keep me on a leash as well. I can only wander until snack time or the next potty break.
