More for My Home Office

Back in October I posted about my free craigslist file cabinet.
While it did get out of the van and into the house it is not yet where I want it to be and set up to be used. What can I say – the holidays happened.

I was reminded to get back to my project when a local thrift store offered me the opportunity to make a charitable contribution and add some color to my organization.

I did not think it was a great deal or a super find but I got a lot of attention on the way to the register.  Other people were asking me if I had taken them all, where they could find them, etc.  so now I think it was a thrifty find.  Now I have been told I picked Mardi Gras colors too.

For inspiration about getting your clutter and files under control, visit Dr. Laura (no, not me) on Mondays for her Minimalist Monday Mission: Declutter 365

  2. I read a lot about minimizing and try to practice so I’ll be checking out that link! I’ve got to stay away from the flea markets, yard sales and thrift stores, though!

  7. Thanks for coming by and sharing about your troll doll. I think most came without clothes LOL Only the larger ones had clothes. Just like real kids, can’t seem to keep their clothes on them.

  8. Does one ever get clutter under control? As hard as I try, total neatness never lasts longer than a day or two. You should see my studio right now where I have 3 different projects going on.

  9. Ah – what a great blog! Could spend my whole morning here :-)¨

Thanks for popping by my new blog and for your comments about thrifted art. I do love that pirate feeling of having found a major art piece (at least the way I view it).

BTW, I have never seen Hoarders, even though I have heard of the show. Would probably help if I had cable 😉 Wonder if the episodes are available online…?

  10. I have to admit — I hate organization like this. Not sure why — just all the paper and file tabs, etc… rubs me the wrong way.

But I’m happy for you if it works. 🙂

    • I am attracted to the colors and the IDEA of being able to find things when I am looking for them. Works for me? More at a job than at home, but I try.
