Always Room For Smalls

Filed under: Thrifty Finds — Laura R @ 7:25 PM

Those professional pickers use the term “smalls” to refer to the least expensive items.  It could be something inconsequential that just catches one’s eye or a vital piece to a major collection.

cat stamp key ring

As you may guess, many of the smalls that attract my eye feature animals.

cat stamp, cat seal & wax, dog cutter

Tiggers are wonderful things…

I do collect Tiggers even though I have tried to stop.

Do you collect a particular type of “small?”

  9. i found a few smalls as well this weekend. i’ve tried to cut down on smalls as lots of smalls take up more room that they are worth at times. i do love a good collection of magnets though. and sun catchers. hrm…and and and.

  11. The keyring is cute! I used to collect small china and glass animals when I was a kid, still have about 200 and am often tempted to add one or two – if I see just the right ‘lonely’ piece. 😉

  13. I used to be such a magpie for things big and small. I’m not allowed to buy any more. I have a little animal collection too, from wooden boxes to jelly moulds. I also have a collection of girls, for some strange reason. I didn’t even realize I had so many until much later :p Love that cat keychain!

  17. I have quite a few “smalls” but my favorite is sterling and silver plated spoons. I have quite a collection and love to display them in my ironstone.
