How Thrifty Things Go Round

Filed under: Thrifty Finds — Laura R @ 5:45 PM

Diann is such a busy lady that she has Thrifty Things Friday up early Thursday afternoon.
Usually that is better for me and gives me all evening to click, hop and visit.
I’ve admitted that the heat this week has had me dragging my behind while running around  making sure all the animals are keeping cool and have fresh water at all times.
So this week I am going to share pictures of thrifty and free things from around the farm that also happen to already be on my computer.
Since I learned how to do slideshows  (no big deal on WP, just remember to click the right box) here is my Thrifty Go Round presentation.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

My bouncy ball collection,  some of the resident chicks,  my oversized alarm clock,  someone who hopped into the yard,  fireworks to celebrate German days this weekend,  you know you wanted to see his eyes to be sure he was real,  a Rooster serving tray,  free cat bed (she made it herself) during dog grooming session,  we were all out the night of the Super Moon,  vintage toy,  something new for the yard from a church sale,  an original vintage MOO toy, (I have still not seen the movie,) the Farm Breakfast I recommend, this clock looks more sinister here with my thrifted apple timer,  and please go visit the other entries at our hostess.

In case you also have not seen the movie …

  1. Visiting from The Thrifty Groove, Thrifty Things Friday. I enjoyed your slideshow. Your kitty is precious, and I never get tired of the super moon photos. I also stopped by Farmhouse Breakfast. Now that’s a breakfast! Awesome pan of scrambled eggs. Ever think of taking this breakfast “on the road”? 🙂

    • Wouldn’t that be a great tourist idea? Take our Wisconsin breakfasts to neighboring states? We already have the Johnsonville Big Grill.

  3. I really like this slide show. Sleepy kitty is adorable and it took a couple of looks before I realized that frog wasn’t a rock. How fun!

    • That’s why I put in two photos. When I first saw it I thought it was tree bark, after a storm.

  4. The frog! I would like one of those please! The frog, the frog, must look for one of those frogs. Did I mention the frog? I really like the frog! Almost as much as I like the Wally World Bed. Almost. But I wouldn’t want to disturb some serious snooze time, so I’ll just take the frog thank you 😉

    Purrs!

    • I believe it is flat enough to fit in an envelope. It rained here last night. Watch your mail in case I find another.

  5. Now that was a fun thrifty slideshow! I have to admit, the picture of the cat on the Walmart bag is my favorite! LOL Thank you for joining TTF and I hope you have a fun weekend!

  6. Thanks for stopping by my blog. So slideshows on wordpress may be easier than on Blogger. You said you couldn’t view mine and I was wondering which browser you use. When I put a slide show on before, it could be seen in Chrome but not msn Explorer. Thanks for the input.
