Snapshots Of Savings

It is the time of year where I am sharing computer time once again so this post will be very brief.

I shared with you the only after Christmas trip I made to Goodwill to take advantage of the 15% off Customer Appreciation coupon.

Have you heard that now Goodwill has a new savings program in place – a loyalty type program where you build points as you spend?  What a time for me to cut back on my visits!

Here are a few snapshots of things I picked up after the holidays at 75% off, before the additional 15% discount was applied. Each of these items had been marked 49 cents (which is generally the lowest our GW will go – the exceptions being the $1.00 Target items sell for a quarter.) Even the Dollar Tree items which we all KNOW sold for a dollar originally are marked at least 99 cents if not higher. Preaching to the choir…..

Oh and of course now I can not get photos to work as I wish.    Sorry.

These are things that I hope to use in crafty endeavors this year.

I will be back to do another post shortly.

  2. WOW you did fantastic at Goodwill. I had no idea they had a loyalty program in place. My sister and I shop there all of the time. I will have to find out if they do that in Georgia. Thanks for swimming by my blog and leaving a comment.

  4. You found some great things for some great prices! Our goodwill is sadly not the best, pretty skimpy. I think mainly because there is a big semi trailor in Lowe’s parking lot that collects for the Goodwill and most people think the contents goes to ours but in reality, they haul it to Nashville! Most people here in town don’t know that. Kind of a bummer! Makes me want to stand out there with a sign! LOL!

  5. What fun finds. Now you’re one step ahead for next Christmas. Our GW prices are outrageous, almost like an antique store. Thanks for sharing your goodies.

  6. I was not able to get out to the Goodwill after Christmas, perhaps this week. I do love touring a big Goodwill store! I am, however finding my best items at small thrift shops supporting local charities that are projects of the local gentry.

  7. Preaching to the choir. No kidding. It annoys me to no end to see Dollar Tree items marked more than a dollar.

You found some cute things. We don’t have a local Goodwill, but it’s good to know about the rewards program. I might have to start making a stop at the ones in the big city when I’m there. Our local thrift shop is for the halfway house folks and they run it. Almost scary at times. Sometimes things are priced too high, but the guy who checks us out will make a deal.

  9. Looks like you didn’t miss Rednesday after all! I’ve made my rounds at the after-Christmas sales – thift and regular stores. You got some cute little items for crafting!
