Our creative and thrifty (and generous) pal Van from
has begun 2012 with a fresh and ambitious outlook.
She is encouraging us all to share our goals once a week with a Sunday link party which will help us to remain focused and allow us to encourage and cheer on each other.
Let’s all contribute to making her new link up a success.
I would also love to hear what is working best for you in reaching your goals when you post.
Still suffering from the deadly head cold virus here (and lack of oxygen that comes with it) so posting mainly blog announcements and giveaway chances and party hops and reading and crafting challenges on my other blog.
If you have something you wish for me to promote, please give me a little advance notice.
My email address is found on my About Me page or you can find me on FaceBook as Laura DogsMom or Google Plus as LJ DogsMom. On Etsy and Pinterest I have the screen name Bestlectic.
Does anyone have links to how best to use G+ and Pinterest?
My goals for 2012 include learning how to use those sites to a better advantage with a minimum of time involved. A goal I am working on (continuously) is to organize my home and work space so I can more easily sell off the excess. I have already read 2 books in 2012! Now to let them go and move on.
I went out once only after Christmas to take advantage of the 75% off Christmas items at a local Goodwill Store and the customer appreciation 15% coupon. I will show you the goodies as soon as I can breathe again.
I will add the names of the parties I am linking up to as soon as I see who is up and running.
I fear I have been away a looooooong time!
I want to add a few words here about another new linky party good for those of us wishing to show off our collections.
Some Good Stuff at Some Good Times blog will be a weekly link up to show off your collections.

If you did not read this post last weekend on Pink Saturday, I invite and encourage you to visit My Place To Yours and learn about this idea.
I am spending Black Friday and Plaid Friday and Small Business Saturday trying to win my gifts this year.

Just a quick shout out to a couple wonderful bloggers celebrating the anniversary of their blogs – a blogiversary!
While just being able to meet and get to know them is reason enough to celebrate, these wonderful ladies are also sharing the presents with their readers – old friends and new.
Lynn at Trash to Treasure Art has a wonderful creative giveaway going on that you have until Nov 18th to enter.
Tracie at Fishtail Cottage has gone giddy over her anniversary and is holding giveaways all month long.
Let me assure you, once you stop in at either of these blogs for a visit you will stay for more than the giveaways.
Still having my computer woes here, but have decided to concentrate on the homefront and getting the furnace operational before I can get the new computer set up.
However, on my party and link up announcement blog I have found a few more events to share.
If you know of more parties and special days coming up, please email me so I can feature them.

By now you are all thinking that I got carried away with Gypsy Dreams and ran off
to live the lifestyle.
Some days I wish I could but then I would have missed out on a lot of other kinds of summer fun.
I spent a day with my cousin watching a painting horse and doing good things for rescue horses.
I revisited a place that captured many of my younger weekends.
There was some improvement and updating done in the kitchen.
And one of my Besties swept me away to play for a day.
Of course you know the vehicles are all trained to pull over for sales on the side of the road.
There was a little thrifting going on.
I found these 2 green plates. I doubt they were part of a set.
I think they have more decorative use.
And the softest throw, made in my favorite colors, was only $2.
The best part…
(well, not the dry clean part)
What have you been doing this summer?
For an Inspirational After Irene story please visit the Tablescaper for Seasonal Sunday http://thetablescaper.blogspot.com/
Frustration Note: whenever I try to add a link in this post, or tell you to which parties I am linking up I am being booted offline.
So I will mention the parties but can not link back. To find links please check out my parties and hops page (see right column) or visit my other blog http://lovevisiting.blogspot.com
In Wisconsin we are Dairy Proud. All over the state we celebrate with events including Breakfast
(or brunch) ON THE FARM. You are ALL INVITED!
While the focus is on Dairy, the scrambled eggs are endless (and superb) the pork sausage is tasty, milk comes in flavors,
and did I mention the ice cream is free?
You can interact with farm animals, enjoy a bumpy tractor ride, see historical photographs of the host farms, listen to country music (and maybe a polka)
plus a whole lot more famly fun!
I hope to see you at a breakfast near me!
What would you like to share this week> Share your Thrifty Things Friday with Diann at The Thrifty Groove and any other good news and great events over at A Little Knick Knack.
I’m Lovin’ It so am sharing with Tidy Mom and her readers.
